Welcome to the Nevada High Intensity Drug Traffic Area (HIDTA) website. Here you will find important information about Nevada's HIDTA program including our Nevada Law Enforcement Training Program available to all of Nevada's law enforcement, links to many other agencies, and general information about Nevada HIDTA's programs.

Since February of 2013, Nevada HIDTA has operated a deconfliction and intelligence operation center, the Nevada Watch Center.  This service is available 24/7 in partnership with the Rocky Mountain Information Network (RMIN), the Western Regional Information System (WSIN) and the Regional Information Sharing System (RISS) a nationwide intelligence system.

The 24/7 operation phone contact the entire state of Nevada: 888-294-2337, an email for questions is nevadawc@rmin.riss.net. I strongly urge all law enforcement to use this system to ensure officer safety during plain clothes, covert operations and for case enhancing intelligence. Today's modern deconfliction systems have saved many lives across our nation.

From Prison to AB 109
Las Vegas, Nevada - LVMPD HQ Training Center, 400 S. Martin Luther King, LVN, 89106 Building A, Room 112 Due to the AB 109 Realignment”, other Prison Population Reduction Measures and several changes within California Prison System this is an excellent course for all law enforcement personnel responsible for the supervision of gang members. This course will provide an in-depth examination of the state prison system, 611 reports, prison politics, prison gangs, gang identification via tattoos, clothing, and demeanor as well as the violence and culture of inmates that are released to a county jail or probation department. Additionally, identifying specific gang behaviors and effectively interviewing individual(s) involved with gangs will also be illustrated. See attached flyer for additional details

Drug Diversion & Emerging Trends

PLEASE NOTE: This course is also being taught in Reno On November 2nd, be sure to register for the course in your area  The attendee will be presented a basic to advanced overview of various prescription substances and related diversion techniques which the attendee will likely encounter.   This course will also provide a basic to advanced overview of conducting medical undercover into a pain clinic, pharmacy, etc.  This course will highlight the pertinent drugs diverted from legitimate to illicit use through non-medical use, prescription forgery, and illegal obtaining as well as chronicle the process of medical undercover.  The attendee will also be presented a basic overview of various emerging drug trends seen on the street by first responders to include, law enforcement, fire-rescue, and emergency room personnel.  This course will highlight some of the street pertinent drugs which are diverted, some from legitimate to illicit use through non-medical use and others through complete illicit means.  See attached flyers for additional course information and instructor biography
